Welcome to Honey Cottage Guided TourHoney Cottage is a quaint old farmer workers cottage built in the 17th century. It's walls are constructed of cob, which is essentially stone held together with mud and straw with a lime render on the outsides. The walls themselves are about 36 inches thick, this together with the thatched roof provides excellent thermal insulation so once warmed by the log burning stove, the cottage remains warm in the winter. In contrast during the summer the cottage remains cool inside even it is sweltering outside.
