How to find Honey Cottage
in Devon
Honey Cottage is located in Lapford
village centre. Lapford is situated in the heart of Mid Devon, just off
the A377, Exeter to Barnstaple road.

By Car:
Suggested route from the M5
(heading southbound):
-
Exit M5 at junction 27, at the
roundabout turn
right (3rd exit) onto A361 towards Tiverton.

After approx 5.5 miles, take
the slip road exit signposted A396 Bickleigh & Tiverton. At the top
of the slip road take the 1st exit, following signs for A396 & Crediton.

Follow the A396 straight over
one mini roundabout then turn right at the main roundabout
signposted Bickleigh Town Centre, and follow the "Bickleigh A396
(Crediton A3072)" signs. At the third roundabout turn left, signed
Bickleigh & Crediton.

Continue along this road
(about 5 miles from Tiverton) until you reach a sharp right turn in
the road, just before Bickleigh Bridge, it is sign posted "Crediton
A3072". The landmark just before the sharp turn is a pub called The
Trout on the right hand side of the road, and as you turn, another
pub, The Fisherman’s Cot, on the left.

Turn
right at this sharp turn onto A3072, follow signs to Cadbury and Crediton.
Follow this road for approximate 8 miles.

At Crediton, go past Mole Avon
Farm Stores and Somerfield supermarket (on your right) and at the
end of the road turn a sharp right at the T junction onto
A377 sign posted to Barnstaple.

Follow the A377 road out of
Crediton after another 5 miles you will go through the village of Copplestone, (remain
on the A377 and bear right at the
traffic lights in village centre)

Continue on the A377 for
another 2 miles through
the village called Morchard Road, past the
Devonshire Dumpling pub on the right.

Continue on the A377 for
approximately another 2 miles where you will reach Lapford. Turn
right just
before Jet petrol station (signposted Village Centre).

After a short distance, bear right at T junction,
over a stone bridge and follow road up hill, round sharp right hand bend, past post office.

Round left hand bend (with the
Old School House on the left), the
entrance to Honey Cottage is located on the left,
(opposite the farm entrance) access is through the large wrought
iron gate via the private cobble stone pathway.

Parking is available on the
road outside the cottage or anywhere on the road near the church or
in the free car park in the centre of the village.

By train / coach / bus:
Exeter, St Davids is the nearest
main line station.

Lapford is on the Tarka Line which
runs from Exeter Central to Barnstaple. However note that these trains
are infrequent, we would recommend traveling from Exeter to Lapford via
bus (see below).

Turners Tour bus service number 374 which
departs from Exeter Paris Street Coach station and will drop you in the
centre of Lapford.
