How to Book a Holiday at
Honey Cottage in Devon
We are an independent holiday cottage
with no agents therefore all bookings must be made directly with us.
This saves us money which we can pass onto you in the form of our
competitive prices!
Before making
a booking request, please read the

Let us know if there is anything you are unsure about.
Contact us
to confirm the availability of your intended holiday dates.
Provisional bookings can be arranged either by
email or telephone.
Your booking must be confirmed by completion of
a
booking form which can be
downloaded from
here or will be sent or emailed to you when the provisional
booking is made. The booking form must be returned within 7 days of the provisional booking being made.
A Deposit
to secure the booking is also required within 7 days. The final balance
is payable 1 month before the start of your holiday.

Rental
Period:
During peak times Honey Cottage is let
on a weekly basis only.
We usually changeover on a Friday. Out
of peak times only, a change over on a different day maybe possible,
please contact us
to confirm availability if this option is preferred.
During off peak times weekend or short
lets (anything from 2 to 6 nights) may also be available. Please

Arrival and Departure Times:
Arrival can be anytime after 4pm and
before 10pm on the day of
arrival.
Departure can be anytime before 10am on the day of departure.

Securing the Booking:
To secure the booking a £100 deposit is
required within 7 days of the booking being made. The booking will be
cancelled if the deposit is not received within 7 days.
If you make the booking within 4 calendar weeks of your
holiday then the full balance is required within 7 days to secure the
booking.

Outstanding Balance:
The remaining balance is required 4 complete
calendar weeks before the date of your holiday. An email will be sent to
remind you about a week before it is due.
Failure to pay the remaining balance 4 weeks before your
holiday will be deemed to be a cancellation. This may result in the
loss of the booking as the cottage will be advertised for let until the
outstanding balance is received.

How to Make Payments:
Payment can be made either by bank
transfer (preferred), personal cheque,
postal order or credit card using PayPal.
Please note, due to very high
PayPal charges, there is a 5% surcharge for payment by this method. Please

Receipts:
A receipt for the full cost of the holiday is usually sent
when the final payment has been received.
An acknowledgement for the
receipt of the deposit is sent by email,
if a paper copy is required please make this clear at the time of
booking.

Cancellation:
If you need to cancel your booking please do so
initially by telephone and verify this either in writing or by email.
We are very sorry but we are not able to refund
your deposit under any circumstances.
Providing the cancellation is made with at
least 4 whole calendar weeks notice, the balance (if it has been paid)
will be refunded.
If you cancel with 4 whole calendar
weeks or less notice, the deposit will not be refunded. We will refund
the balance of the holiday only if we are able to re-sell the
holiday. Please note that this maybe sold at a significantly reduced
cost, in which case only the reduced amount will be refunded to you). We
suggest that you consider taking out holiday insurance to cover
cancellations.
